EVIS EXERA II - Redefine Endoscopy

The new EVIS EXERA II video imaging system heralds a totally new experience in endoscopy. Unprecedented image quality, compatibility that extends beyond previous limitations and an array of additional intelligent properties will enable endoscopists to redefine endoscopy. High-Definition Television (HDTV) and Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) provide new levels of imaging quality. Processors and light sources are fully compatible with a wide range of Olympus endoscopy equipment. And the new endoscope line-up leaves nothing to be desired and provides breakthrough technologies for upper and lower GI endoscopy.

To provide endoscopists with the best possible image quality, right from the start our engineers were determined to add High-Definition Television(HDTV) compatibility to the new EVIS EXERA II series. The optical system, the CCD chip, digital output and the monitor - all components of the imaging chain were newly developed. The HDTV images produced by EVIS EXERA II are composed of double the number of scanning lines (1080 vs. 576) and horizontal resolution than used in conventional video systems. 1080 scanning lines means a drastic increase in image information and product pictures that are incredibly sharp and detailed.
